Hello, I’m Jessica. Thank you for taking the time to visit Bowmans better births.
I am a qualified, registered and insured antenatal and postnatal practitioner. Having studied perinatal education and practice at the University of Worcester. I also hold qualifications in BSL.
A little about me personally…I am happily married, a mother of four children and a proud grandmother. When I’m not supporting families, I am usually with my own family. I also enjoy time in the gym, walking our gorgeous family dog Lucky and canoeing from our garden on the river Yare.
My husband became paralysed 14 years ago and living with disability within our family has meant I champion accessibility for all and the importance of personalised support.
Along side Bowmans better births, I also work as an NCT practitioner, running classes in my local area aimed for groups of first time parents - A role I absolutely adore.
I have a true love for supporting families through pregnancy, birth and the transition into parenthood. Every family is unique, which is why I believe antenatal education should be personal, practical and tailored to your individual needs.
My aim is to help you feel informed, confident and empowered to make the decisions that are right for you and your family. Whether you’re expecting your first baby or welcoming another child, I provide evidence-based information in a friendly, supportive and non-judgemental environment. Supporting you to make informed decisions that are right for you and your family.
Through Bowmans Better Births, I offer private one-to-one antenatal education, postnatal support and group courses for parents expecting their second child. I love helping parents build confidence, ask questions and prepare not only for birth, but for life with their new baby.
I understand that every family’s journey is different, and I feel privileged to support parents during such an important time in their lives. It would be an honour to support you too and I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.
